Perfect claws...
Cats paws are incredibly sensitive.They use them to feel pain and to determine what they are standing on.
You will often see your cat tapping things with their paws to try and figure out what they are.
They generally have five toe pads and claws.However some cats may have as many as 6 or 7.Also the front paws have another pad on the inside of the wrist,like a 6th finger...
its called a Carpal pad.
this is to function as an anti-skidding device while jumping.
clever claws...
Cats amazing retractable claws can whip out when they are in D.a.n.g.er.
They extend them in hunting,self defense,climbing,jumping and to provide eXtra traction on soft surfaces
like your carpet for example.
They tuck them safely away in their protective skin and fur casing when not needed.
Scratching posts..
Providing your cat with a specific place to scratch will help them exercise their claws and keep your furniture
in good condition.
There are plenty of different types to choose from.
keep em trim...
Cats claws generally needs trimming every 3-4 weeks.You can buy specialist claw trimmers from the pet supply shops.
The back claws arent as sharp as the front ones so often dont need clipping.
Choose a time when youre cat is relaxed or sleepy.and dont expect to get to all the claws in one sitting.

this is believe to help cats grow into excellent hunters.
as they will avoid eating plants.
a cats sence of taste is generally quite weak.
a cats tongue can identify four basics..sour,bitter,sweet and salty.
they sence of sweetnes is low. and not very sensitive to salt either,
they get all salt they need from mainly meat diet.
have you noticed when your cat licked you,that the tongue has
a rough sandpapery
feel to it.this is becuase a cat has tiny backward facing hooks or
pipillae.
they use it for grooming,help hold tight on pray and push
it back towards the throaght.
cats are very particular about temperature of they food.
the ideal temperature is 30 degrees celsius,same as they tongue.
so avoid giving them food straight out of the fridge.
if your cat isnt eating well,try warming the food slightly to make it
appealing for your cat.
